Enterprise Architect

Remote - Full Time

Savan is looking for a mid-level Enterprise Architect (EA) to support our client’s organizational strategy. The EA will be responsible for comprehending the organization’s business strategy and defining and developing the blueprint for IT solutions. The mid-level EA will help increase organizational agility, adopt emerging technologies, and ensure compliance. The successful candidate will provide knowledge and guidance for all domains of the enterprise architecture, to provide the client with a holistic understanding of the organization’s needs, and ensure business-to-IT alignment.
Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct enterprise architecture impact assessments to address whether client applications are built with quality and with technology reuse in mind, to show significant cost savings with service-oriented architecture, and to identify issues of software quality and reusability.
  • Develop roadmaps for IT strategic planning and IT goals.
  • Support acquisition planning, develop and maintain models, and identify and track metrics.
  • Support portfolio rationalization, integrate with capital planning processes, and assess architecture and technology for business fit.
  • Establish and maintain a standards management framework and repository and establish EA standards.
  • Conduct compliance assessments.
  • Determine the effectiveness of EA practices and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Support Federal EA reporting as well as GAO and OMB requests.
  • Analyze alternative enterprise solutions and provide recommendations.
  • Understand business needs and provide guidance and design architecture artifacts for federal program leadership to support the decision-making process.
  • Being highly dependable and able to anticipate the needs of the organization and able to move forward without detailed direction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 8+ years of IT professional experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise architecture and solution architecture experience
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data governance, infrastructure, and application architecture and their intersections
  • Knowledge of Office of Management and Budget and CPIC processes
  • Experience with Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) and/or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
  • Familiarity with the Technology Business Management framework
  • Ability to build and apply models (functional, capability, activity-level models) with limited client guidance and direction
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the U.S. Department of Agriculture
  • Experience supporting a federal chief information officer organization.
  • Enterprise Architecture repository tools
  • Experience with mortgage banking/lending, loan origination, or mortgage finance.
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Public Trust
