Technology Analyst

Vienna, VA - Full Time

Savan  is seeking a consultant with three or more years of experience to provide a wide spectrum of consulting and analytical support to the federal government. The consultant will be in a client-facing role and will support the implementation of a new information security program at a large federal civilian agency. The consultant will be required to develop a strong understanding of the agency’s information security program, regulations, and current knowledge management system. The consultant will help contribute analytical insights into revised regulations and policies, training, and communications, and lead data gathering and requirements development efforts to support centralizing data management systems to support program implementation. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator (written and verbal) be able to plan and lead client calls independently and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop an understanding of work performed by team members and assist the team in all aspects of the project including the development of work products, programmatic artifacts, and key deliverables.
  • Support the development of written deliverables by providing input, quality assurance, and/or direct content.
  • Gather data and conduct analyses to develop recommendations for system updates.
  • Coordinate with agency stakeholders to establish program implementation benchmarks and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Gather/develop requirements to support consolidating and centralizing data management systems underlying the new information security program.
  • Provide liaison support and develop recommendations for updating Continuity of Operations (COOP) procedures to ensure proper management and sufficient redundancy.
  • Establish partnerships with agency stakeholders (e.g., CDOs, enterprise architects, etc.) in other information management divisions to support cohesive program implementation.
  • Develop clear, concise summaries of work performed (e.g., memos, presentations, status reports, etc.) for internal and external audiences.
  • Support other systems and program implementation activities as needed.
  • Participate in regular, internal team meetings and support collaboration.
  • Support internal project administration as requested.
  • Perform work according to Savan’s quality policy and processes.
Basic Qualifications / Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in a federal consulting environment with a client-facing role
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience developing business process improvement documentation, gap analyses, and risk management artifacts.
  • Experience analyzing systems and system components against requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and apply critical thinking to a wide variety of complex problems.
  • Working knowledge of system architecture
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technology-oriented degrees such as engineering, computer science, management information systems, information security, etc.
  • Experience with information security or governance programs.
  • Experience with dashboarding platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations for senior leadership.
  • Public Trust Clearance (or higher)
