Savan is seeking a Project Manager to provide leadership and direction in planning, executing, and managing support for the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), specifically for the Office of Audit, Assessment, and Management (OAAM) project. This role involves delivering operational and technical support to ensure the effective execution of OAAM’s mission and the timely provision of information and products to DOJ leadership, as well as responding to Congressional and other governmental inquiries. The Project Manager will leverage data as a strategic asset by establishing strong data governance, adhering to data analysis standards, and implementing innovative data solutions that enhance the agency’s administration and oversight of federal financial assistance programs, all while fostering a data-driven culture in compliance with federal mandates, standards, and best practices.
In addition to managing multiple projects and a team of senior personnel, the Project Manager is responsible for overall task order performance, ensuring that deliverables are accurate, timely, and of high quality. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in full lifecycle project management, including project planning, risk identification and mitigation, and cost estimation and monitoring. The Project Manager will collaborate with OAAM leadership to ensure that all milestones and deliverables are met promptly and to high standards, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment where priorities often shift in response to mission needs.

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the OAAM data analytics project, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with inter-departmental teams, stakeholders, and executives to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Mentor and guide project teams, encouraging best practices and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the point of contact between OAAM leadership and stakeholders with other members of the project team project team members.
- Execute task order on schedule, budget, and monitor quality throughout the execution of the project.
- Present project updates, findings, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Measure and report on data governance metrics, continuously evaluating the success and areas of improvement.
- Document activities and invoices. Complete weekly status reports.
- Manage monitor and report significant risks to the project.
- Brief stakeholders and management on project status and progress.
- Create management dashboards to communicate, display, and track system owners' progress in achieving the project goals.
- Identify potential risks associated with data governance initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Ensure that all data governance activities adhere to federal security and privacy standards.
- Manage subcontractors and team members. Conduct periodic review meetings.
- Master’s degree in public policy or project or program management, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration
- 8 years of professional experience, 4 years of project management experience and experience in government consulting.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Public trust or ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- Experience Familiarity with DOJ grants management and administration is highly desired.
- Familiarity with data analytics processes, governance tools, and software.
