Savan is seeking a Business Analyst to support a Department of Transportation (DoT) program within the federal civilian space. The Business Analyst will work closely with federal client stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams to analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, and support the delivery of programmatic and technology solutions. This role requires regular engagement with government counterparts and participation in client meetings, working sessions, and program reviews to ensure solutions align with mission needs and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct business analysis to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
- Develop requirements artifacts including process flows, user stories, use cases, and requirements traceability matrices
- Translate client needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical and delivery teams
- Support requirements reviews, validation sessions, and change control activities
- Engage directly with DoT stakeholders to understand mission objectives and operational needs
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and briefings
- Serve as a liaison between government stakeholders and internal delivery teams
- Support project planning, milestone tracking, and deliverable development
- Assist with development of status reports, dashboards, and program documentation
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and solution validation activities
- Ensure documentation and deliverables meet contract and quality standards
- Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support development of future-state process models and implementation plans
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the program
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience performing business analysis in a federal or professional services environment
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies, including DoT
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint
- Business analysis or Agile-related certification
- Hybrid schedule
- On-site presence at Savan Headquarters (Vienna, VA), client site in Washington, DC, and remote work as appropriate.
